I thought I'd start out by saying that the vibrational properties of crystals are proven by science in case anyone was in any doubt.
"The vibrational motion of an atom in a crystal propagates to neighboring atoms, which leads to wavelike propagation of the vibrations throughout the crystal. The way in which these natural vibrations travel through the crystalline structure determine fundamental properties of the material", Science daily.
Science has proven that matter is 99.99% empty space. And what makes up this empty space is energy. Energy is everything, and everything is energy. You, the chair you’re sitting on, the phone you’re holding, and the crystals you know and love – all of it is vibrating energy.

Just like everything else in the universe, we each have our own unique vibrational frequency. People with higher vibrations radiate kindness, love, peace, and compassion, whereas people with lower vibrations experience more low-vibe emotions like jealousy, anxiety, anger, or fear.
Whatever frequency you’re at, as a human, your vibration is unstable and easily influenced. It changes constantly as we’re exposed to other people, social media, the news, traffic, the weather, good news, bad news, our own memories, etc.
Crystals, on the other hand, have a super stable energy frequency that doesn’t change. They’re made up of a fixed, regularly repeating, perfect geometric pattern of molecules. And they maintain their perfect stability with no effort. Exactly the opposite of our constantly changing, non-stable human nature. Stable energy is more powerful energy, which can influence the energies around it. This is why crystals can so profoundly influence our unstable (less powerful) energy.
CRYSTALS AND CHAKRAS
Every crystal, just like every human, has a different energetic frequency. It depends on a few different factors like the size, the composition, and the colour.
The colours we see are specific light frequencies. Red, for example, has a much lower frequency than purple. The same goes for our own bodies. If you look at a chakra diagram, the lowest chakra (the root chakra) is shown in red, which aligns with the low vibrational frequency of that chakra. Your crown chakra, on the other hand, is shown in purple, as it’s the highest vibration chakra, and the highest vibration color.
Root Chakra (red) – connection with the earth, your physical survival, stability and safety. Feeling strongly grounded and “rooted” in the earth. Linked to the fiery planet Mars.
Sacral Chakra (orange) – the creative life force energy that makes you human. Connection with creativity and assertiveness. Linked to the planet Mercury.
Solar Plexus Chakra (yellow) – the seat of your personal power – internal wisdom and self-confidence. Linked to the intellectual planet Jupiter.
Heart Chakra (green and pink) – love and compassion for yourself (pink) and others (green). Linked to the planet of love Venus.
Throat Chakra (blue) – this chakra allows us to speak our truth with clarity, love, and kindness. Linked to the planet Saturn.
Third Eye Chakra (indigo) – your connection to your intuition and information beyond the material world. Linked to the sun.
Crown Chakra (violet) – connection to divine consciousness, all that is. Linked to the moon.
Other colours fit in and around these main colours, often affecting more than one chakra.
The chakras and planets in astrology have a significant relationship. One of the seven planets rule each chakra. As a result, every chakra displays the nature of its ruling planet. The birth chart is formulated based on the time and date one is born. Also, it shows the positions the planets were when we were born. The birth chart also depicts how the planets define our characteristics and affect our chakras.
Having said all that, if you are unsure what crystal you need, just stop and take a little time. The golden rule is you will be drawn to what you need. I've observed again and again when I have a stall at an event, that people will start by looking at one crystal, work their way over the whole stall, but keep coming back to the original crystal that attracted them.
